New disabled accessible play equipment in Gerrards Cross March 2025
Loud cheers were heard as Cllr Prerna Bhardwaj, Chairman of Gerrards Cross Town Council, formally cut the ribbons on two pieces of disabled accessible play equipment on East Common. The roundabout accommodates one wheelchair with seating for a further two or three children and the trampoline is also accessible to all. Cllr Santokh Chhokar, representing the Denham and Gerrards Cross Community Board, who helped to fund the project, joined several town councillors to mark the occasion. Chairman of Commons, Cllr Stuart-Lee, commented: “We provided this equipment in response to requests from Shailza, the mother of a severely disabled son. It was very emotional to see him laughing with joy on the new roundabout. I’d like to thank our Town Clerk, Pravina, who has been our project manager.”
